15And Laban said to Jacob, "Is it like this, my brother? Should you serve me for nothing? Tell me, what are your wages?"16And Laban had two daughters. The name of the older one was Leah, and the name of the younger one was Rachel.17And the eyes of Leah were tender, and Rachel was beautiful of form and beautiful of appearance.18And Jacob loved Rachel and said, "I will serve you seven years for Rachel your younger daughter."19And Laban said, "It is better that you give her to yourself than that I give her to another man. Place her according to my standing."20And Jacob served for Rachel seven years, and they were in his eyes like a few days, for his love for her.21And Jacob said to Laban, "Give me my wife, for my days have been fulfilled, and I will go to her."22And Laban gathered all the men of the place and made a feast.23And it was evening, and he took Leah his daughter and brought her to him, and he came to her.24And Laban gave his maidservant Zilpah to her as a maidservant to Leah his daughter.25And it was in the morning, and behold, it was Leah. And he said to Laban, "What is this you have done to me? Did I not serve with you for Rachel? Why then have you deceived me?"26And Laban said, "It is not done this way in our place, to give the younger before the firstborn."27Fulfill the seven, and I will give her to you also—this one—in service that you will serve with me yet seven other years.28And Jacob did so and fulfilled those seven years, and he gave his daughter Rachel to him as a wife.29And Laban gave Bilhah his maidservant to his daughter Rachel as a maidservant to her.30He also came to Rachel, and he loved Rachel very much too. And he served with him yet another seven years.
